We're trying to scan plants, and there are always occluded areas. The scan looks reasonable after we merge from the turn-table method. We want to export it as is, but there's no option. If we continue the protocol, it fills gaps by making inflated structures that are obviously not useful for the downstream pipeline. Then, that is the only object we can export....
Hi there. I answered your question via chat, but figured I'd post here as well in case anyone else had the same question.
You can export your project at any stage by going to the Export option on the left menu (by clicking the three horizontal lines). If you want to export point cloud data (pre-merge/mesh but post-alignment), choose the .xyz format. You'll get a point cloud file you can easily import into other meshing programs like MeshLab or MeshMixer.
