Thanks @Drew Shark, that's helpful information. I was part way to success using the buttons to rotate it to what I thought would be a new 0 but it immediately spin 90° upon scanning. Not sure w...

@Tom Meeks Haha no problem! I have been busy with work for the past week and haven't had time to do much scanning in that time, but I have more objects lined up when things cool down again!
Heres a quick list of what's new in some of the versions lately.A quick reminder, please TURN OFF your subscription to nightly updates unless are very brave and want to risk breaking your scanner. ...
@Drew Shark Thanks, Andrew and Drew. Great question and very helpful reply!
Hey Andrew,Thanks for the insight and request.First, let me say that the turntable error is common and due to a problem on the actual silicon on the processor. We found a fix and are working to get...
While scanning something on the turntable this evening, I got an error (can't write to file). No big deal just cancel and re-try. It worked, with a catch - the turntable lost it's 0 point. My unde...
I have to make sure people see what you have done with that scan! https://bsky.app/profile/oddenough.bsky.social/post/3l3ytxy23cc2z It's very cool to see your work and how much you are putting in...
@Tom Meeks a projector inside the scanner could also be used for center point. I have a film projector and it can project a calibration pattern to center it against the screen.
It would be enough for me if the keyboard shortcuts worked at all =D the only one that works for me is square select and undo. Ideally if it could all be binded to any buttons, maybe even the mouse...
It took me a long time, but I finally figured out how to get a thin object to align correctly. ICP alignment is notoriously plagued with dominant plane matching. Meaning if there is a planar surfac...
Same - I've become a SpaceMouse junkie over the years to the point I have one for use at my employers and one for home. I even tried to get it working in Fortnite😆 (to no avail).
Concerning the full calibration, I've done this twice (the second time was just to see if I could do it better), but I figured I could give a tip on how to speed up the process. The first time I did...
Yes to both things here. The tooltip issue is rather annoying and I "fix" it by moving my mouse off window and bringing it back in on the side closest to the icon I want to press. But I for sure wou...
@Andrew McNeill I second the SpaceMouse support! Though I'm not sure if it's even possible for a webapp to take advantage of it. I use mine for all my 3D programs though and would definitely love i...
It's dead-easy to assign all of the scans in a group to the same colour, but if you're like me and you suddenly find yourself chasing your tail a bit, it would be nice to be able to one-click rando...
Thanks Tom, Well add this to a software feature soon. For now I'll post release notes here in the forum.
Thanks. The receptical rotates 90 degrees so I can check the angle in two directions. It works very well. And, the tools are extremely inexpensive on Amazon.
@Tom Meeks I can confirm it does not like the card to be too straight on. I've had the turntable calibration fail a couple of times when I was scanning from directly above and laying the card...
