@Tom Meeks a projector inside the scanner could also be used for center point. I have a film projector and it can project a calibration pattern to center it against the screen.

It would be enough for me if the keyboard shortcuts worked at all =D the only one that works for me is square select and undo. Ideally if it could all be binded to any buttons, maybe even the mouse...
