For a calibrated scan, it would be nice if there could be a mat (real or virtual) placed on the turn table that allows for the X Y and Z axis to be oriented to be aligned to the principal axes.&nbs...
Love this! Absolutely gorgeous result! The attention to details is amazing. Did you separate the crimped terminals from the wire in your modeling? Or is that done by "painting" t...
Did a relative quick-and-dirty scan -- I didn't want to spend too much time getting all of the nooks and crannies -- enough for me to get a good feel for the part to model against. It's nice to be...
From a UI standpoint, what could be helpful here is a sectioned view so that you can hide or mask an area behind (or in front of) a certain cutting plane. If that can be made to be dyn...

I also posted a video showing off the different merged meshes and textures here (Twitter)
I'm still learning how to use the scanner and also tools to work with the resulting data (Meshmixer and TurboCAD), but I just had a really successful result tonight and had to share. The resu...
@Jordan Cain I have the same challenges when working with largely flat items!
An item I am currently experimenting on has a "two tone" design where the upper half of the device is ivory colored and the bottom half is charcoal colored. To top it off, the plastic is some...
