Did a relative quick-and-dirty scan -- I didn't want to spend too much time getting all of the nooks and crannies -- enough for me to get a good feel for the part to model against.
It's nice to be able to take measurements and get shapes from places where it's to measure with a caliper.
I wish there was some kind of "adaptive mesh reduction" to preserve corners/detailed features while allowing larger flat areas to be merged together.
