Bulk Random Colour (Re)assignment

  • It's dead-easy to assign all of the scans in a group to the same colour, but if you're like me and you suddenly find yourself chasing your tail a bit, it would be nice to be able to one-click random colours to all the scans in a group. While trying to troubleshoot a group of scans that I believed to have been aligned, I'm having to click through each scan's visibility to figure out which of the many scans is the one off in it's own world.

And while I'm at it: the tooltip is occasionally, rather unhelpfully, positioned under the cursor, blocking the mouse from activating whatever it is underneath it. While working through the above, I've run into this numerous times when trying to turn any given scan on/off.

    Tooltip under cursor

  • Yes to both things here. The tooltip issue is rather annoying and I "fix" it by moving my mouse off window and bringing it back in on the side closest to the icon I want to press.

But I for sure would love a color randomizer too. Single color is great for seeing a unified surface, but random is also great for troubleshooting.
