After scanning this object, I observed the scan was clean and accurate, but then after orbiting the part around, these strange lines started randomly popping up in the scan window. This is literally after the scan is finished and was orbitting around for about a minute, then these lines spontaneously appeared. Really seems like some sort of corruption or bug. Has anyone encountered this? The heck is it?
Hi Zackary, this reminds me of a problem we had a few software revisions ago...what version of the software are you on?
I was using the version below. I updated just before the scan last night.
FrontEnd: 11.7.0
BackEnd: 11.3.0
I could be wrong, but it seems like the lines occurred after using the lasso tool and deleting, and then they appeared while orbiting the scan around.
OK, thanks for this information. If you export the scan as an STL or PLY, and open it in meshlab - do you see the same thing?
Also, could you export the project and your log file, and send them both to support@matterandform.net?
