I know that the integrated hardware is one of three's strong points. No need for specific GPU or expensive hardware.
However, with the power of today's computers, I'd like to be able to perform some of the heavy lifting using my own hardware (apple silicon).
I believe you can already export the point cloud to a 3rd party software of your choice for meshing (poisson reconstruction) and other operations.
However, it would ne nice to have that option available from within the web based interface. (For example, ticking a box 'use hardware accelaration', or a drop down menu 'internal or CPU/GPU')
Current computers may be able to speed up the aligment, meshing and polygon count reduction.
Again, only as an option for people with hardware that can handle it. Just my two cents.
