Hi Christian, I can't go into the details about it unfortunatly. Suffice to say, mathematically you are correct, but in practise using vertical patterns gives better results. There are no plans to...

Hello all, based on youtube videos i saw that MAF3 is using horizontal AND vertical pattern. From my pov both (vertial + horizontal) is only needed if projector and camera are oriented diagonal (...
In any case, when you give it time, some quite usable things come out of it, although I now prefer to export most things and work directly on the PC. It's significantly more comfortable and faster....
Thanks Jordan for your answer. This means at least for #4 a workaround is available. But it was thinking about "passive mode" so that local SW is receiving captured data from MAF3 and all processin...
I'm not a MAF dev, but I can answer #4 at least. You can already do this. I've exported the raw scan data and processed with meshlab for a few especially large scans.
Hello MAF team, i am really interested in current offer for the MAF Three but i am missing some features and would like to know if something is planned on this on short/long term. 1. Scanning tim...
@Trevor Townsend I understand. I'll upload my results to the OpenScan website. Thanks for your time.
We do not offer sample units, no.
You've put me up for a real challenge there. My Saturn 3 ultra is under maintenance so i had to print the benchy with the Mars 2 pro. So far, i haven't been able to match the quality of your scan w...
Happy to help! By the way, the scanner's on sale for $1499 :D
Thank you Mr. Townsend for all these informations. I will review them and hopefully become a Three owner. I'll see if my workplace would be interested as well. Best Regards

I've checked the video but was wondering if we could establish a baseline comparison between scanners by using a predefined object such a s a Lego Stormtrooper Minifig for reference. Could we scan...
Hi Karine-Johanne, The two scanners are somewhat similar. As CEO of M&F, I am of course biased towards THREE, but I've not seen a direct comparison between the two anywhere. I think you can tr...
Hi, i currently use the Einscan SP 3D scanner and have been considering the Three scanner. How does the Three actually compare to the Einscan SP ? Has anyone out there been making actual comparison...
Payo's scanner reviews are great!
Did a relative quick-and-dirty scan -- I didn't want to spend too much time getting all of the nooks and crannies -- enough for me to get a good feel for the part to model against. It's nice to be...
I somehow stumbled across the work of a THREE owner that goes by the name PAYO on YouTube. His channel contains some fun and informative videos of the THREE scanner being used in various ways that...
From a UI standpoint, what could be helpful here is a sectioned view so that you can hide or mask an area behind (or in front of) a certain cutting plane. If that can be made to be dyn...
Hi Justin! Thanks for the feedback. These are some great suggestions that I've passed on to the dev team. We hadn't really considered how to do deal with stray points that are mostly enclosed; these...
